Libraries Help with Health Insurance Marketplace
November 18, 2013
The Dalton-Whitfield Library and the Derrell C. Roberts Library at Dalton State College are prepared to help area residents learn about and use the Health Insurance Marketplace, a one-stop place to get information, explore options, compare plans, and apply for health insurance.
Lydia Knight, Director of Roberts Library, and Linda Floyd, Director of Dalton-Whitfield Library, confirm that library staff will offer basic computer assistance and provide fliers and other informational materials about the Marketplace. “We will point them to the resources and information they need,” Knight says. Library staff will not review, enter, or submit any personal information.
“Providing assistance with the Health Insurance Marketplace is just one of many services we can provide as the Federal Depository Library for the 14th Congressional District,” Knight continues.
In addition to Roberts Library, free computer access and staff assistance navigating the Marketplace is available at all three library branches of the Northwest Georgia Regional Library in Calhoun, Chatsworth, and Dalton. “While in the library, we hope residents will also take time to register for a PINES statewide library card and learn about other materials available to them at no charge,” says NGRL Director Linda Floyd.
