Atlanta Crash Takes Life of Fiance’ of Roadrunner Assistant Coach Redman

Dalton State Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach John Redman was seriously injured in an Atlanta car crash which took the life of his fiancé, Brittany Huber, Monday evening. The couple was enroute to Mobile, Alabama where they were to be married on Saturday. Below is a statement from Athletic Director Derek Waugh:

“Tragically, Dalton State assistant basketball coach, John Redman and his fiancé, Brittany Huber were involved in a serious car accident last night on the way to their wedding this weekend in Mobile, AL. Brittany passed away on impact. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this impossibly hard time. She was an amazing person who was loved by all who met and knew her. John was rushed to Grady Memorial in Atlanta. He was unconscious when paramedics arrived at the scene of the accident. He has head trauma, the severity of which is not completely known at this moment. John also suffered broken ribs and other fractures, but he is able to move his extremities. Coach Tony Ingle has been at the hospital all night and is providing updates as he is able. These are all of the details that are available at this point, but we will keep everyone who loves John and Brittany updated. Please keep the Redman and Huber families in your prayers.”
