Student Center Renovation Possible at Dalton State
November 14, 2014
The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia is including a request for funds to renovate the Pope Student Center at Dalton State in its budget for fiscal year 2016, Dr. John Schwenn, president of the College, said.
The $4 million capital project is contingent upon approval of the state budget during the 2015 General Assembly.
If this is approved, the project is expected to be completed without an increase in student fees.
“We appreciate the work the Board of Regents has done to find a solution for this project while keeping fees affordable for our students,” Schwenn said. “We’re thankful they see the need in this project. This is great news for the campus. We look forward to working with others to bring this project to reality.”
