The Dalton State Foundation has received a gift of $10,000 from Wells Fargo in support of scholarships for Dalton State students. Local Wells Fargo officials visited campus recently to present the gift.

“With this latest gift, Wells Fargo is making an investment in the educational careers of hard-working and deserving students who have earned this kind of recognition,” said, Dr. Margaret Venable, interim president of Dalton State. “We are proud of our partnership with Wells Fargo as we work together in our community to build a more educated workforce.”

The gift will support the Foundation’s annual scholarship program for financial need and academic merit scholarships.

“We are proud of Wells Fargo’s ongoing friendship to Dalton State as expressed through its philanthropy here,” said David Elrod, director of the Dalton State Foundation. “Their example is one of leadership and generosity with us that reaches back to the College’s beginnings in the 1960s.”
