July 9, 2015
The Dalton State Foundation recently received a gift in support of scholarships from the OMNOVA Solutions Foundation based in Beachwood, Ohio.
"OMNOVA and Dalton State have enjoyed a relationship going back 15 years,” said David Elrod, director of Institutional Advancement for Dalton State. “The company, acting through its philanthropic foundation, made its first gift to Dalton State in 2000, and it has been a consistent and generous donor ever since.”
“The company, its employees, and the OMNOVA Solutions Foundation are community leaders in their support of Dalton State, and their most recent gift is just the latest example of their outstanding corporate stewardship of our community,” he said.
“On a campus where 75 percent of our students require need-based financial aid in order to attend classes, gifts like OMNOVA’s make a big difference in our ability to help the College meet its mission of providing access to a quality higher education experience for any student willing to work for it,” Dr. Margaret Venable, interim president of Dalton State said. “OMNOVA’s ongoing partnership with Dalton State is good for our students, and that’s good for the entire Northwest Georgia region.”
